Born & raised in Miami, Florida, Orlando Mendez, a developing second-generation Cuban American singer/songwriter discovered a passion for music at an early age. But, the University of Florida grad first pursued acting, even going so far as to relocate from the sunny beaches of South Florida to the concrete canyons of New York City. Then COVID hit. Orlando opted to wait out the shutdown at home in Miami and while isolated there, his first love, the love of COUNTRY MUSIC, came calling and he began to write. As the world began to open up again, he took to the stage with his newly formed Orlando Mendez Band and performed those songs live, all over Florida. After a stint on season 22 of NBC’s The Voice, Orlando is now a rising country performer playing shows nationwide, co-writing with some of the Music City’s best songwriters, recording and releasing music regularly, but he hasn’t left the swaying palms, white sands and blue waters of South Florida behind. You’ll catch a glimpse of them in every tune!
