MADtv Jerry Maguire Shaq's All Star Comedy Jam Ever since New York native Aries Spears was 14 years old, he has been a force to be reckoned with in the comedy scene throughout America. His quick wit, charisma and ferociously aggressive style of comedy have earned him critical acclaim, high accolades, and above all, a busy schedule. From being a regular on Fox’s Mad TV, starring in feature films, appearing on a number of national talk shows, and continually touring the country with his stand-up, Aries’s talents are becoming recognized and appreciated throughout the entertainment industry.

As a principal cast member on Fox’s hit sketch comedy show Mad TV, Aries brought a fresh, hip style to the already-edgy program from the third through the tenth season. The producers made full use of many of Aries’s talents by calling on him frequently to create new hilarious characters and write sketches. Some of the many recurring characters that Aries is famous for on the show include: Belma Buttons, Bill Cosby, Jesse Jackson, Mike Tyson, Walter (Crackheads), Reggie (Erascist), Dollar Bill Montgomery, Shaquille O'Neal, The Klumps, Michael Jackson, Sisqo, Evander Holyfield, El Diablo Negro and more.

Aries also boasts a number of uproarious impersonations on the show that include James Brown, Al Pacino, and his childhood idol Eddie Murphy. The Aries-branded sketch “Talkin’ American” was Mad TV’s most popular bit, keeping fans tuned in and boosting Mad’s ratings impressively on Saturday night.

Aries has also found great success in the world of feature films. At the age of 17, after being spotted in a comedy club, Aries landed a part in the movie Home of Angels, which also starred Abe Vigoda and Sherman Helmsley, but never saw a theatrical release. He then appeared in Out-of-Sync, and portrayed Red Foxx in Warner Bros.’s Why Do Fools Fall In Love. In addition, Aries starred alongside John Leguizamo in TriStar’s The Pest and delivered his most notable performance to date as Cuba Gooding, Jr.’s brother in Columbia’s blockbuster hit Jerry Maguire.

Aries was born on April 3, 1975 in Chicago but grew up in New York City. He remembers at the young age of six being the funnyman of the household and impersonating family members at the dinner table during holidays. By age 14, Aries was belting out his fresh stylings in front of paying audiences at local clubs around his hometown. Shortly thereafter, he appeared on Russell Simmons’s Def Comedy Jam on HBO and Showtime at the Apollo. The word was out about the prodigal superstar from then on, and in 1992, Aries moved to Los Angeles. He quickly landed a recurring role on NBC’s A Different World, and was signed to a huge development deal at one of the major television studios. The following year, Aries found himself starring in the short-lived CBS series South of Sunset with former Eagles guitarist Glenn Frey. Although the series didn’t last long, it did not discourage other networks from tapping Aries’s talents for their projects, as he soon appeared in Crosstown Traffic and Brisco County, Jr. for Fox. Ultimately, Aries’s fierce momentum landed him on Mad TV as a series regular, where he thrived for eight seasons.

Aries continues to spread his comedic wings with the development of feature film projects, which he is currently involved in writing. He is presently developing a feature project based on an original character that he created on Mad TV, as well as a thriller about a young black man immersed in hip-hop culture. Additionally, Aries has made appearances on many talk shows including: Loveline, Vibe, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Soul Train, and Late Friday. He has also lent his voice to an animated character on C-Bear and Jamal and had a recurring stint on Fox’s The Best Damn Sports Show Period, where he created some of the show’s funniest characters during his short time there.

Aries maintains a strong connection to his African roots and is involved in many charitable events, including a number of organizations that help abused women. He feels blessed to have been able to achieve everything that he has, but he in no way intends on stopping there. Given the extreme growing success rate of action comedies coming out of Hollywood, it’s safe to say that Aries Spears will be in demand for quite some time.

JEREMY PIVEN - WHY SO BITTER?

JEREMY PIVEN - WHEN YOU DATE AN ACTOR

A household name for his 2x Golden Globe and 3x Emmy Award-winning performance playing the fast-talking, acerbic Hollywood agent ‘Ari Gold’ in the HBO series Entourage, actor, comedian, and podcast host Jeremy Piven also achieved significant success playing the title role in the British/PBS television drama series Mr Selfridge, the semi-fictional story based on the life of Harry Selfridge, who founded the London department store Selfridge's. Piven has also appeared in numerous successful films, including Grosse Pointe Blank, Singles, Very Bad Things, The Family Man, Black Hawk Down, The Kingdom, Heat, PCU, Old School, Rock N Rolla, Serendipity, Smokin' Aces, and Runaway Jury.

Piven appears as Joel Lapchick the man responsible for helping Nat “Sweetwater” Clifton break the color barrier in the NBA in 1950 in the movie Sweetwater, which dropped on Angel Studios on September 26th, soon to be available VOD. His next film, The Performance, is an adaptation of an Arthur Miller work due out in theaters at the end of 2024.

He was recently seen in the feature film Last Call opposite Oscar winner Bruce Dern and Orange is the New Black star Taryn Manning. Bryan Callen is an American actor, comedian, and podcaster. He is most known for his role as “Coach Mellor” on ABC’s SCHOOLED and THE GOLDBERGS. Callen has also appeared in such TV and films as Kingdom, 2 Broke Girls, Ride Along, Hangover 1 & 2, Sex and the City, Old School, MADTv, Entourage, Californication, and many more.

Nataly Aukar is a Lebanese born and raised writer and performer based in NYC. After almost 30 years of selling out rooms all over the country and now the world, Earthquake born Nathaniel Stroman has mastered his crafts as a beloved comedian, actor, voice artist and radio personality. He’s exceeded his own expectations and he continues to thrive in the comedy arena, as he still basks in the success of his critically acclaimed comedy special Chappelle’s Home Team - Earthquake: Legendary for Netflix lauded by the New York Times as the funniest comedy special of that year.

Earthquake made his way into the households and hearts of his loyal fanbase in the 90’s at the height of television programming for the urban comedian. Francisco Ramos has crafted a fan base by leaning into his warm & energetic style of comedy. He’s emerging as one of the up and coming comics of his generation. He can be seen in the recurring character of Felix in the outstanding new show on Netflix - GENTEFIED. He was a top-ten finalist on Last Comic Standing and continues touring as a comedian across North America.

Having made a noteworthy impact HBO presented an opportunity to shoot a standup special for "Entre Nos". He continues to flourish as an actor and voice-over artist having created memorable character's in SHAMELESS, ANGIE TRIBECA & on Netflix's LADY DYNAMITE. Having voiced the role of King Marmoset in the animated film RIO and with his unique tone and inflection he was brought on by the Cartoon Network to voice a character in VICTOR & VALENTINO. Francisco Ramos has crafted a fan base by leaning into his warm & energetic style of comedy. He’s emerging as one of the up and coming comics of his generation. Comedian Steve Treviño is “America’s Favorite Husband.” He can “speak wife fluently,” he never calls “the guys” for help on a home project, and he knows better than to “make his own decisions,” since decision-making is a privilege reserved solely for his wife, Renae.

Passions for building communities and creating strong representations of Caribbean descendants in mainstream culture are what give comedian Majah Hype his secret sauce. Beginning in 2012, the raspy-voiced funnyman known to his adoring fans as “the Caribbean King of Comedy” took social media by storm with his brand of humor he calls “reality comedy:” producing and starring in sketches online featuring impersonations of characters that poke fun at various stereotypes associated with Caribbean, Latin and African-American cultures. As a stand-up comedian, Majah improvises his routines: delivering unscripted punchlines around everyday experiences that connect Afro-Caribbean people.

Majah was always destined to entertain crowds and bring joy to diverse audiences. Born Nigel Joseph in the Caribbean, Majah grew up the oldest of three children with his mother in Brooklyn, N.Y. The diligent entertainer synonymous with mimicking Caribbean accents honed his chops winning his family’s holiday talent shows either telling jokes or playing seven instruments: mainly the alto saxophone, clarinet and trombone. Any other time, Majah was taking his inspiration for making people laugh by studying Redd Foxx on “Sanford & Son,” Jamaican comic Oliver Samuels, Richard Pryor, Martin Lawrence, Jerry Seinfeld and Eddie Murphy.

For awhile, music seemed to be the career path Majah was destined to pursue. In junior high school, Majah started DJing. One of his DJ buddies gave him the name “Majah” because he could see that the comedian was destined for worldwide success. Majah began selling cassette tapes sequenced with Caribbean sounds and Hip-Hop to his peers in the hallways. Adding vocals and production to his growing list of talents, Majah produced singles for a host of Jamaican and Caribbean artists like Gyptian and Torres Riley. Almost instantly, the reality of becoming a father at 19 years old forced Majah to put his dreams to mesmerize audiences on hold.

Majah took a job as an electrician with Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA). Although he was making great money going in and out of tunnels for eight years, Majah knew his purpose was much greater than a 9-to-5 routine. He’d gotten laid off and started posting his own memes and later 15-second videos to Instagram. One particular post comparing the best trucks in Caribbean culture during Labor Day Weekend became a viral sensation. Majah’s following started growing exponentially: prompting the comic to pursue his passion for making people laugh full-time. He quit his day job and never looked back.

Frequently coming up with new characters, Majah produces about six or seven videos per day. He blazed both domestic and international stages with his prideful brand of wit: becoming a familiar face spanning Trinidad, Tobago, Jamaica, Guyana, Barbados, Japan, Europe, Canada, South America and the Bahamas. Majah primarily headlines his own performances but has been honored to share stages with comedic talents such as Jason Anders, Michael Blackson, John Witherspoon, Paul Mooney, Cedric the Entertainer, Tony Woods, Brandon T. As his following continues to expand, Majah’s objective is to remain an ambassador for his Caribbean heritage. He first came to prominence with his extraordinary TV series The Des Bishop Work Experience (2004), where he lived on minimum wage in a series of different jobs in Ireland. Mixing this documentary footage with stand-up, the series became one of the most talked-about of the year, and propelled Des into national stardom. In 2006, he embarked on his second critically acclaimed TV series, Joy In The Hood, where he taught stand-up comedy in disadvantaged areas in four major Irish cities. Another hugely successful live tour followed including invitations to the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and the Melbourne Comedy Festival in Australia.

Des’s most recent project took him to Beijing, China in 2013 to learn Mandarin and he has been living there for the past 18 months. He is now fluent and the show, Breaking China, was another major hit for broadcaster RTE in 2014 and he also made a half hour radio documentary about the rise of Stand Up in China for the BBC World Service called “Stand up for China”.

His live show again opened at the Edinburgh Festival where he played to over 5,000 people and included an invitation to perform at the Soho Theatre in London and a return to Barrow Street in New York.

Using his experiences growing up in Newark, Bill Bellamy started doing stand-up while he was a student at Rutgers University. Bellamy quickly discovered how much he enjoyed making people laugh and began honing his skills at small comedy clubs around the country and was soon making waves in the New York clubs like The Improv, The Comic Strip, and at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles.

In less than two years of launching his stand-up career, Bellamy earned a spot on HBO’s DEF COMEDY JAM where he notoriously coined the phrase “Booty Call.” The now famous late-night rendezvous moniker became the name for his first comedy special for Showtime; “Booty Call” and it was instantly one of the network’s top-rated specials.

Bellamy became a staple on MTV in the 90’s as one of the first “VJs” on the network. He hosted several of their programming blocks, including MTV JAMS. MTV TOP 20 COUNTDOWN and MTV BEACH HOUSE, while interviewing everyone from the late Kurt Cobain, Prince, Snoop Dogg, to Janet Jackson. In 1996, Bill landed his own late night series, “The Bill Bellamy Show.”

Bill starred and executive produced in his own syndicated show in 2012 MR. BOX OFFICE with costars Jon Lovitz, Tim Meadows, and Vivica J. Fox. Prior to MR. ​Kristin Key grew up a minister’s daughter in the conservative West Texas town of Amarillo. Unsurprisingly, when Kristin came out of the closet at 16, it did not go well. So, she said, “Just kidding!” and went back in the closet. At 19, while in college to become a paramedic, Kristin signed up for a local open mic that would change her life forever. After searching for connection and self-expression, she felt at home the moment she took the stage. Though her outrageous observations and quick wit made her a local favorite, she still remained in the closet, fearful of how her new fans would react. Small shows in the Texas panhandle turned into touring the country where audiences fell in love with Kristin’s original comedy songs and rapid-fire humor coming from the “Preacher’s Kid.” After reaching a national audience as a finalist on NBC’s Last Coming Standing, Kristin moved to LA.

While performing at an anti-bullying fundraiser in 2015, Kristin felt inspired to come out (again). Neema Naz is an Iranian-Canadian stand up comedian, actor, and content creator. During the fall of 2014 he launched his comedy career in Toronto. His inaugural headline stand up comedy tour in 2022, “I’m Your Sugar Daddy" welcomed over 15,000 fans from Los Angeles to Vancouver, New York to Montreal, San Francisco to Toronto, and many more. He has also headlined shows in Sydney, Berlin, and Melbourne.
